Principal Message

Loren Clark

Hello to our Holbrook Community!

As the principal of Holbrook Elementary, I am excited to be one of the newest members of such an incredible team. I feel it a privilege and a great responsibility to serve such a wonderful community. When I learned that I would be coming to Holbrook, many told me about how wonderful the school and community is, and when I arrived, it is great to experience it first-hand. I love learning about the great history and traditions.

We have been working hard this past spring and summer, in coordination with the county health department and district leadership, to examine how we can safely return to school, while also providing a robust and engaging learning experience. This will definitely be a different way to start a school year, but we’re determined to do a great job at making not only rigorous, but make it a fun and personalized learning adventure, especially now that we’ll be alternating with in-person and remote learning days.

The theme for the 2020-2021 is “Incredible You.” We will be focusing on the strengths, needs, and personal growth of each student, as we seek to be the “Incredible U” (university) for the students this summer as they pursue academic and social interests at the Hannah Holbrook campus. Collectively, our teachers and staff have already put in hundreds of hours in preparation for this year, as we learn how to maximize learning with face-to-face and remote learning days. The staff is an incredible, dedicated, and fun team. I love hearing about the exciting plans they have for your children.

Though our mouths and smiles may be masked this fall, I certainly hope that everyone’s bright eyes, happy and encouraging voices, animated hands, and positive body language will always be make it unmistakable that each student knows that we love and support them, and will be doing our best to connect and learn together this school year.

Though our mouths and smiles may be “masked” this fall, I certainly hope that your bright eyes, the encouraging and happy tone of your voices, animated hands, and positive body language will always be make it unmistakable that each student and parent will know what is below your mask each day- a HUGE smile that is happy to see, teach and to support each and every child. Please contact us or your child’s teacher if we can be of assistance. The Holbrook team is amazing and they will be eager to listen and help in any way we can.

Thanks! -Mr. Clark
